Ringworm is skin infection coused by a fungs and not a worm which you  get rid of with ringworm treatment. It apears on top of your skin and can be seen as red circle of rash in the middle of the circle slihtly lighter, looking like a ring. The word is full of yeast, fungi and molds, but only few of them are problematic for skin. This skin problematic fungi can live only on dead layer of creatin(protein on top of the skin). They cannot live on mocous membranes, like mouth and vagina. It is infectious and can be spread from person to person or from animal, communal places like souna, swimming pools and other.
Ringworm infection is highly infectious therefore you should avoid touching suspicious lesions and avoid contact sports. Your higiene should be in high level, washing your hands and clothes frequently.
Although it is possible ringworm infection will go away by it self, ringworm treatment is recomended because it can lead to more severe form.

Ringworm treatment is quite simple. Ringworm is fortunatly easy to diagnose. You can diagnose by your self by the look and symptoms, or if not shure go to doctor. Doctor will by determine it by looking at it or by scraping off a small sample of the flaky infected skin to test for the fungus. Medicine is in cream or tablets. Creams are more often used. Apply cream to the lesion and a bit beyond its border two times a day for period of two weeks minimum. Most widely prescribed cream is Lamisil, or natural remedy, for more severe cases covers greater area, affects nails or scalp oral medication is prescribed.

 Ringworm can affect different part of your body. Most common ringworm infections are:

  • Body ringworm - affects your arms, legs and trunk

  • Athlete foot - affects most areas between your toes and whole foot

  • Scalp ringworm - more often apears at children because of the lack of protective fatty acids in their scalp. Its symptoms are red itchy patches on the scalp, leaving bald patches

  • Tinea barbae - ringworm apears on bearded area of face and neck

There are some most popular home remedies for ringworm treatment:

  • Papaya - Rins skin with salt water and then after 20-30 minutes put rubed papaya on infected area

  • Tree oil(Melaleuca oil) - Apply tree oil 2-3 times a day on infected skin area

  • Garlic - Rub Crushed Garlic on ringworm patch

  • Vinegar - Soak a cotton in vinegar, tape to ringworm patch, and leave overnight
